Before starting you must be at least 17 years old and in receipt of a provisional or full car licence or a full motorbike driving licence.

Applications can be made online on the government website or by post.

If you need glasses or contact lenses to read a number plate from a distance or 20.5 meteres then you will need to wear them.

Access to a vehicle and time to practice what has been learned in lessons will help to improve driving skills and reduce the amount of lessons required to get to test standard.

If you wish to make a booking for a birthday and wish to have a lesson arranged for that day, I will be happy to help where possible. However, it would be subject to availability and many people have booked several months in advance to guarantee a lesson on a specific day.

Whilst waiting for a birthday or a licence to come through might be a useful time to start practicing for the theory test.
